Aquaponics Sensor System

Java Murray. Project Goal The goal of this project was to design and build a low cost aquaponics monitoring system capable of collecting and displaying real-time environmental data. The system needed to be reliable, easy to maintain, and simple for users to monitor and calibrate. Design Philosophy My design philosophy is to solve problems using the simplest and most effective solution possible. I believe that systems should be reliable, easy to understand, and cost effective. Throughout this project, I focused on simplifying both the hardware and software while still providing accurate monitoring and a good user experience. ...

Designing an Ornithopter

Java Murray DMA Project Project Overview This year, I’ve been working on a series of small, focused projects that all contribute to a larger goal, of designing and building an ornithopter. Each task helped me learn new skills in 3D design, prototyping, and engineering, all leading to my final concept. ...

Hydrontank Design

Project Overview This project started when Dr. Winter from Quantum Technology approached me with a design challenge: how would you suspend a hydrogen tank inside a vacuum chamber? I was then asked to develop a CAD model of the concept we discussed so it could be included in a project proposal. The Idea The concept was to use Kevlar cables to suspend the tank inside the chamber. This would allow the position of the tank to be adjusted by tightening or loosening the cables, enabling fine alignment and controlled positioning within the system. ...
